Apotheosis of Eldre'Thalas

(Yes, I know. Savior of Azeroth doesn’t have a U in it, in-game. But I’m Canadian, so the U sticks!)

On May 13th, 2012, a year and a half after the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, Apotheosis of Eldre’Thalas has cleared 8/8 heroic modes in the Dragon Soul. We are Saviours of Azeroth and we shall soon get our Glory of the Dragon Soul raider mounts. We have achieved our primary goal for this incarnation of Apotheosis, which was to clear as much content together as possible — and have a good time while doing it.

Congratulations, Apotheosis. 8/8 HM for most of the raiders and we’ll go right back in and get that kill again for those who are missing it. Then on to achievements and mounts. Amazing job, ladies and gentlemen. I am continually humbled to be associated with you all. (And yes, we are still recruiting!)

After a previous best of 17% remaining on the last tendon (during the 15% nerf), we regrouped this week and on Thursday, May 3rd, the stars aligned. Our kite tank was able to make it, along with our healing and melee leads who were supposed to be unavailable.

We had a 1% wipe on Heroic Spine and knew that another clean attempt would seal the deal.

And so, on the infamous 141st attempt, Apotheosis finally threw off that third miserable armor plate, defeating Heroic Spine of Deathwing.

Today, it’s a return to amusing outtakes of our raids. We spent a lot of time on Heroic Warmaster Blackhorn. A LOT of time. And for some reason, over the course of a couple of nights of attempts, almost every time Majik would count down to Heroism, he would actually be counting down to a wipe.

But as that video says, we did eventually work the kinks out and downed this guy.

We can get our stuff together and get through content. Heroic Spine is on warning and we’ll be moving quickly to Heroic Madness afterwards, then Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider for all the raid members! Apply today. :)

Lots of stuff’s been going on in Apotheosis lately and we have stuff to show you! To start, let’s talk about the huge transmogrification contest on the server back on Sunday, March 25th. It was hosted by Absolute, an Eldre’Thalas guild.

A great day for server fun, Keelhaul from deazeroth.com and Noelani & Ironyca from wowroleplaygear.com came out to judge the first annual Transmog contest, put on by <Absolute>.  Some great outfits and looks, a great turn out, and a near sweep by Apotheosis in all categories!

Of course, that was only after he swabbed the deck with us… repeatedly. It took three weeks of attempts, over 130 wipes (mostly called quickly) and tested the resilience of our raid group.

And we won.

Congratulations on going 6/8HM before the 15% buff, Apotheosis. We worked hard for this one.

Recruitment is rough across the board, so here’s a little video that will hopefully show that we know how to progress while having a fun time. Please do share! :)

After a crushing 0% wipe on Sunday, Apotheosis came back to Dragon Soul on Tuesday and cleared out the first four bosses on heroic. We then proceeded to 2-shot Heroic Ultraxion and are now 5/8 Heroic Modes in 25-man Dragon Soul.

Still seeking a warlock, other ranged DPS, as well as a resto shaman and an enhancement shaman!

On the fifty-sixth pull on Heroic Warlord Zon’ozz, we recovered from some icky deaths and managed to down him with 1 second left to spare on enrage. There were no soul-crushing 1% wipes, no mad kiting once we hit enrage. We went from an evening’s best of 65% (and previous overall best of 58%) to dead in a matter of three pulls.

Congratulations, Apotheosis. 4/8 HM and already to 8% on Heroic Ultraxion!
