Harrowing Hagara!

Well, it just took 60 pulls, but since they were spread out across 3 weeks, it certainly felt like it took longer than it actually did. After problems with the lightning phase and crazy mad healing in frost phases, we finally got it to click and our kill on Herioc Hagara was pretty clean, although certainly harrowing. (Mana? What’s that?)

Great work on the server-first kill of Heroic Hagara the Stormbinder, Apotheosis. We worked hard for this one and we kicked her ass.

We are recruiting! Check the list to the right to see what openings we have.

Also, here’s our Heroic Morchok kill, a two-view perspective, by Serrath! Be sure to watch it in full-screen HD mode!

Mocking Morchok

And so Apotheosis has started in on heroic Tier 13 content. On January 3rd, we walked into Dragon Soul and toyed with Morchok and Kohcrom for a bit before splatting them. 1/8 H T13 and we are recruiting! Apply today. :)

Happy Holidays!

Apotheosis would like to wish you and yours a very happy holiday season!

And here’s a little something I whipped up for the guild, but thought I should share. :)

Twas the Night before Christmas – Apotheosis style!
by Kurn (apologies to Clement Clark Moore)

Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the guild
Not a raid was ongoing, no bosses were killed.
In the forums were some posts spreading good cheer
(Arolaide suggested a good holiday beer!)

The members were gathered by the Dwarven bank
Pondering strats for heroic Morchok’s tank.
And the officers in o-chat, grinning with pride,
Knew it wouldn’t be long before that big ol’ boss died.

Tikari was there, asking to run some heroics,
while Kurn admonished some in Trade, acting like dicks.
Daey, at long last done with his busy season,
managed to log on and get in some teasin’.

“How ’bout those Pens?” he predictably asked us,
“Certainly better than those Habs!” making Kurn cuss.
Keeping the peace, Tia suggested an MC clear,
“Come one, come all, let’s get some cool transmogging gear!”

Everyone jumped at the chance to grab their Tier 1,
possible bindings and more, it would definitely be fun!
So all of us flew to that godforsaken zone
and prepared to do battle, kill some bosses and pwn!*
(* pwn pronounced as “pown”)

Chronis and Kal were the first people there,
they pulled both Molten Giants with nary a care.
Merk, Shawnelle and Fog arrived next, weapons ablaze,
ready to kill any bosses before their second phase.

Ludde showed up next, Sturm right at his side,
and headed straight to Lucifron, but he’d already died.
Kam summoned Tia and Toga and Sara and Kurn.
They got down to Magmadar in time to see that dog burn.

People had tweeted and more had logged on,
they all joined the raid group, arriving before long.
There was Jasyla and Jay with Feather and Hitoku,
as well as Raymiee and Slout and Cinderhaze, too.

Garr was dead and Kurn wanted to pet-pull Baron Geddon,
though they all waited a bit for more to head in.
Majik and Mabs arrived shortly with Walks just behind them,
while Void popped on after having played Skyrim.

More summons were sent and in came Mhoe and Kit,
Then all three shadow priests showed up for a bit.
Aro and Srs and Serrath zoned in,
Just in time to see Sulfuron down on his chin.

To Golemagg our raid went, now ever bigger,
and sliced him down quick, proving our vigour.
Delandruss and Dayden appeared, joining in all the fun,
and X zoned in too, before we were quite done.

Majordomo Executus stood boldly in our way,
so we killed his 8 friends and he quickly ran away.
Dar popped on Mumble, just to tempt us with wine,
and gratsed us on our recent kill of Deathwing’s Spine.

“TOO SOON, EXECUTUS!” came the familiar words,
and soon we were beating down Rags, as we are all nerds.
T2 legs went for vanity and transmogrification rolls,
while the Eye of Sulfuras didn’t drop, hurting Daey’s soul.

The raid was now done and it was time to log off,
and a good time was had by all, even Kurn (you may scoff).
But before logging off, vanishing at the speed of light,
we wished each other a Merry Christmas and to all a good night.

Destroyer’s End

On December 15th, Apotheosis marched into the 6/8 Dragon Soul that we had cleared out on Tuesday. Spine was crushed once again, on just the second attempt, and then it was time for Madness work. Without even realizing we’d gone past our regular break time, we pulled Madness for a fifth time (the 22nd time, total) and we walked away victorious.

Thanks to all who helped us work on this fight over the last week. We couldn’t have done it without you and to those who weren’t there, fret not, we’ll get you your kills soon.

In the meantime, Apotheosis has now cleared 25-man normal Dragon Soul and will start in on heroic modes shortly. Looking for a hunter, a ret pally and a resto shaman! Why not apply today?

Spine Gets Crushed

After whipping through the previously-cleared 6/8, we found ourselves once again at the fearsome (and gruesome) Spine of Deathwing encounter.

Two-shot this week after some strat changes.

We also spent some time on Madness tonight and got to our fourth platform a couple of times. And we have all of Sunday to work on it.

Ultraxion goes Under, Blackhorn is Beaten

Apotheosis returned to Dragon Soul on Thursday, December 1st, and dispatched Ultraxion back to the Twilight Realm and threw Warmaster Blackhorn off the airship.

Only the Deathwing encounters remain for Apotheosis. Will we get through them both on Sunday? Will we clear Dragon Soul in the very first week? Will Daey’s Internet let him stay online? Will the priests ever actually manage to kill Majik? Tune in on Sunday to find out!

(PS: Still need a HUNTER and a RET PALLY would be keen!)

Siege of Wyrmrest Completed!

Apotheosis strode into Dragon Soul (once actually realizing where the raid entrance was…) and promptly one-shotted Morchok, took a bit longer with Warlord Zon’ozz but still got him down, then headed over to make Yor’sahj take a dirt nap, on our first attempt, and finally took just two tries to get Hagara down, despite being relatively unprepared.

Picture spam, yay!

Second Dragonwrath!

Our raid of November 17th pushed over about 25 minutes into the 18th in order to make sure we could craft our second Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest. Congratulations to Mabriam on his legendary! He decided to wear an ogre suit for the event and so a huge ogre standing on Tarecgosa was seen across Stormwind for hours.

Glory of the Firelands Raider!

On November 15th, Apotheosis walked in to Firelands with 25 people and proceeded to knock out four achievements (Death from Above, Not an Ambi-Turner, Do a Barrel Roll! and Bucket List) resulting in 23 people getting their Glory of the Firelands Raider achievement. (Two more will have their achievements once we do Only the Penitent… again on Thursday.) And then we’ll start in on the other group who are missing some achievements.

Congratulations to everyone on a great night’s work.
